We are using ours for a variety of things to keep them cool in the car. It would be great for picnics with its external pockets, both woven and zipped. Thete is even a generous open back pocket. The handle choice is between short or long and both are padded, also. The print is amazing!! And it is a wipe clean surface. This has become an everyday essential in our Queensland hot car
